Council meetings are a good way to stay informed about what’s happening at the school along with providing an opportunity to ask questions and have your voice heard. Pre-order forms have been sent home with your youngest child The Holy Year of Mercy will be an opportunity to encourage Christians to meet people’s “real needs” with concrete assistance, to experience a “true pilgrimage” on foot, and to send “missionaries of mercy” throughout the world to forgive even the most serious of sins. HELPFUL RESOURCES www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/partents www.ontariodirectors.ca www.dpcdsb.org/besst Our humble St. Patrick’s Parish ahs been designated one of the few in Toronto to celebrate the “opening of the holy doors”. On December 13th, We will gather, beginning at 3PM at St. Patrick’s School across the street from the church. At 3:30PM we will pray and then all will go in a precession to the church. A special hammer will be used to knock on the doors of our church. This will remind us of the removal of the cement and the unsealing of the Holy Doors in Rome and of Jesus’ words; “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and all who seek find, and to those who knock it will be opened” (Matthew7:7-8) We ask for the grace of God’s loving mercy, we seek his compassion, and we knock at the doors of his kingdom. Then the doors will open for the first time as the Doors of Mercy: we will all walk in. At this time we will celebrate the Mass of the Third Sunday of Advent. Council Positions Chair – J.
