Movie Night
Your new 2015/2016 School Council has been voted in and have met
twice for this school year. We are pleased to see the general attendance at the meetings is increasing. Council meetings are a good way
to stay informed about what’s happening at the school along with
providing an opportunity to ask questions and have your voice heard.
The chocolate fundraiser was the first of the many activities council
brings to the community. Here’s a sneak peak at what’s in the works

Christmas may come once a year but the essentials of the season, like coming together as a community and giving back to
those in need, stay with us all year long.

Your donation of non-perishable food items will be welcomed on the evening of the movie and thank you for

The Holy Year of Mercy will be an opportunity to encourage
Christians to meet people’s “real needs” with concrete assistance, to experience a “true pilgrimage” on foot, and to
send “missionaries of mercy” throughout the world to forgive even the most serious of sins.

Our humble St. Patrick’s Parish ahs been designated one of the few in Toronto
to celebrate the “opening of the holy doors”.
On December 13th, We will gather, beginning at 3PM at St. Patrick’s School
across the street from the church. At 3:30PM we will pray and then all will go
in a precession to the church. A special hammer will be used to knock on the
doors of our church. This will remind us of the removal of the cement and the
unsealing of the Holy Doors in Rome and of Jesus’ words;
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks
receives, and all who seek find, and to those who knock it will be opened” (Matthew7:7-8)
We ask for the grace of God’s loving mercy, we seek his compassion, and we
knock at the doors of his kingdom. Then the doors will open for the first time
as the Doors of Mercy: we will all walk in. At this time we will celebrate the
Mass of the Third Sunday of Advent.
