Office ProPlus for Faculty and Office ProPlus for Students Microsoft Office 365 – ProPlus for Faculty and Students Advantage Program – Installing Office The Microsoft Office 365 Student/Staff Advantage Program allows students/staff to take advantage of various software applications provided by Microsoft for use on personal devices. One of the applications offered in the program is Microsoft Office. The next few pages will guide a student/staff on the necessary steps to install Microsoft Office on their personal devices. As a student/staff, you are allowed to install Microsoft Office onto 5 devices. The process takes approximately 15 – 90 minutes depending on your computer and the speed of your internet connection. Note: This only applies to non-board computers that do not have Microsoft Office or the latest version of Microsoft Office installed. Installing Microsoft Office 1. Log into your Office 365 account by visiting http://dpcloud.dpcdsb.org Note: the username and password is the one you currently use to log into Board computers. 2. From the main Office 365 page, simply click on Install now Microsoft Office 2013 Requirements: Component Computer and processor Memory (RAM) Hard Disk Display Operating System Browser .NET version Multi-touch 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster x86- or x64-bit processor with SSE2 instruction set 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit); 2 gigabytes (GB) RAM (64-bit) 3.0 gigabytes (GB) available Graphics hardware acceleration requires a DirectX10 graphics card and a 1024 x 576 or higher resolution monitor Windows 7 Windows 8 Windows 8.1 Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, or 11 Mozilla Firefox 10.x or a later version Apple Safari 5 Google Chrome 17.x. 3.5, 4.0, or 4.5 A touch-enabled device is required to use any multi-touch functionality. But, all features and functionality are always available by using a keyboard, mouse, or other standard or accessible input device. Note that new touch features are optimized for use with Windows 8.
