The organization for each day (Monday – Thursday) is shown in the table below. Times and rooms vary on Sunday and Thursday. CONTINUING EDUCATION Medical Physicists The AAPM 56th Annual Meeting & Exhibition has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP). One Medical Physics Continuing Education Credit (MPCEC) per hour will be awarded for each course, symposia, and proffered paper sessions. Up to (8) hours of credit will be awarded for the viewing of general and Best in Physics poster displays. To obtain credit, attendees MUST complete an online evaluation survey. Medical Dosimetrists To obtain credit, attendees must complete an online evaluation survey. Badge ID and CMD Number are required. Internet/CEC terminals are available in the convention center for this purpose. Following the meeting, AAPM will report the medical dosimetrist participants credits earned to the MDCB. Internet/CEC terminals are available in the convention center for this purpose. The Online Evaluation System will also be available via the AAPM website. AAPM is providing complimentary wi-fi throughout the Austin Convention Center (AAPM session rooms, exhibit hall and function space). The Online Evaluation System will remain open through 11:59 pm EST, Wednesday, August 20. Evaluations MUST be completed by that time for credits to be earned. Please note: You must enter your badge ID and last name in order to access the CEC evaluation system. Once you have completed evaluating ALL sessions attended, select the FINALIZE PROGRAM EVALUATION. Please note you will no longer have access to edit your evaluation once you have FINALIZED the evaluation. Medical Physicists Following the meeting, AAPM will provide CAMPEP with participant contact information, credits earned, and the appropriate processing fees in order for individual participants to access their personal AAPM 56th Annual Meeting & Exhibition transcript via the CAMPEP online MPCEC Repository database. Please be advised, CAMPEP transcripts are viewable via the CAMPEP online MPCEC Repository database. Participants will not receive a hardcopy CAMPEP transcript. Should a participant need a hardcopy of the AAPM 56th Annual Meeting & Exhibition transcript, an individual may order a hardcopy transcript from CAMPEP. Medical Dosimetrists Following the meeting, AAPM will report the medical dosimetrist participants’ credits earned to the MDCB. Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) Program (Pre-Registration Required) Many medical physicists now require Maintenance of Certification (MOC) as defined by the American Board of Radiology. SAMs are not required, but can 4 Individuals were required to pre-register for an audience response unit (ARU) to be used during the session. You will not be able to register for SAMs onsite. You may go to the SAMs sessions of your choice. During the session, the speaker will ask interactive questions. You will be able to respond using your ARU. The audience feedback will appear in real time on the screen. There is no pass/fail and you will not be graded on your responses. At the end of the meeting, please return your ARU to the SAMs counter located in the registration area. The AAPM transfers SAMs Credits to the ABR via the CME Gateway. To confirm attendance, attendees MUST complete the online evaluation for the SAMs session attended. Note: The sessions are open to everyone. An audience response unit is not required to attend.
