HOPE SCHOOL PROJECT
The Hope School project began in 2000 after a presentation about Hope School by staff
member Cindy Garvin. The 8th grade class at that time saw the need for help!





First project was to build a new school house.
Baked and sold cookies and collected books to start a library
Bake sale to raise money to buy camping equipment so that students could take a
vacation
Donated playground equipment
Donated board games and cards
In 2003 we adopted Hope School as our Sister school
Thanks to Hopes for Hope, and the Springton Lake Tour de Lake, Hope School
Springton Lake students and staff has:






Donated money so that they could buy chickens to use to study agriculture as well
as using the eggs to provide protein for the students diet
Provided pipes so that the school could have water
Students raised money to donate book bags for the students
A new computer lab equipped with computers and furniture for the lab
New bathrooms for the students and staff (with running water in the sinks)
