BCHS continues to seek input from community leaders especially as it pertains to CCR. Groups were targeted in WIN classes and strategies were utilized to help them reach benchmarks and review to take the appropriate tests During our freshman CCR time deliberate scheduling is conducted in order to offer the needed assistance for individual students. This is the first year that our Freshman Academy has devoted specific time for CCR. The program will be fully evaluated at the conclusion of this school year and appropriate changes will be made. Students are tracked in their performance on the CCR tests, and grouped accordingly The Guidance Department has developed and used the form with all current seniors. Efforts are increasing to keep more constant contact with parents and frequency of phone calls to parents and parent meetings are utilized across all 4 grades Plan for this activity has not been implemented. Topics of discussion were the AP program, Career Night and scholarship/financial aid. School web page is consistently updated, reflecting student achievements and recognitions. Web page is updated 2-3 times per week Items of interest continue to be posted on our website. All students/parents receive regular email communications from the Magnet School and from the Trojan Academy. Future goals include the inclusion of our other populations. ILP implementation continues with an emphasis on CCR. The Trojan Academy continues to utilize this communication tool. all of the alternative programs have been utilized throughout the 14-15 school year, and many students have experienced success Credit recovery continues to be implemented during the CCR time and summer school will be conducted during a 4 week period beginning early June. Advisory time is now part of CCR time for our Trojan Academy. Plans are to expand this to all of BCHS and the use of Academic Time. many meetings, 80-100, were held with freshmen students and parents to make them aware of failing grades and encourage better performance and a higher pass rate Meetings continue to take place and are encouraged by staff. The high school does not post progress reports but administration stresses the use of the parent portal and that grades be current. Counselors are beginning to utilize this report. Seniors retake the ACT Strategy WIN CLASS Activity WIN Prep Sessions Goal In Progress Several students will become early graduates this spring. It is believed that several of these students would have been dropouts if not for this program. In addition several students have enrolled at Phoenix due to the scheduling and work experience that allows the student to work and finish school. The process continues for the 14-15 school year. PGES has been utilized to evaluate the first cycle of teachers, and administration have met with evaluatees and used the instrument effectively. the comfort level among the BCHS staff has increased with the observation cycles During the 13-14 school year monthly meetings were conducted and various sections of the PGES system were discussed.
