Client engages Nicholls State University Graphic Design Program, its Instructors and student designers to enter into a Pro Bono Design Services Agreement for the Spring Semester of 2009. 2. This agreement acts as an agent in the creation and production of design services, specifically related to the Clients’ organization in the form of the following articles: • • • • • • 3. The Nicholls State University Graphic Design Program, its Instructors and student designers, shall provide any or all of the following services to the extent necessary to meet the Client’s needs: a. Study and analyze materials for each part of the project b. Plan, create, and design materials 4. Any rejected or unused concepts, ideas or designs formulated by the Student Designer shall remain the property of Nicholls State University Graphic Design Program and the Student Designer to be used as it sees fit, provided such use does not involve any confidential information concerning the Client’s business or method of daily operation. 5. Clients understand that he/she is under no obligation to make use of the materials designed by the Campaigns Class. However, Clients are not allowed to manipulate completed artwork unless the changes relate specifically to wording or date changes or changes made under the approval of the Instrutor. 6. The Client agrees to participate in scheduled critiques outlined by the Campaigns Class handout and will reschedule within a week if critique is missed. 7. The Client understands that all content required to commence work on this Campaign is due no later than February 10, 2009. Any content not finalized by this date does not fit within the parameters of the time line and will not be considered for use in any part of the projects outlined above. Exceptions to this include the following: changes of date, changes of time, changes of place of events, or changes of scale criteria (limited to one scale adjustment). 8. Upon completion of the Semester, the Client will receive a CD with archived, print ready files (in PDF and JPG format) of the work created during the participating Semester. 9. The Client fully understands that this agreement does not include the production of designed materials. The Campaigns course is completely design-oriented. The Instructor may suggest a list of Print Options for the Clients’ consideration. 10. This agreement is bound by the time line proposed in the Campaigns class handout delivered to both Client and the Student Designer by Instructor, Trisha Dubina, who will guide the Campaign to completion. 11. No participating student my enter into a contract for monetary compensation with the Client until this Agreement is void. (after December 1, 2008) Therefore, Client is not allowed to pay students for the design services created during the participating semester. Accepted by: Client Signature Instructor: Student: Date:
