The next International Conference on Neutron Scattering will take place on 8–12 July 2013
in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre
(EICC). ICNS 2013 will bring together scientists from a wide range of disciplines including
biology, chemistry, earth science, engineering, materials science and physics.
An exhibition will be held alongside the conference programme, running on 9–11 July. More
than 1000 participants from across the globe are expected to attend the conference and
exhibition, including academics, industrial researchers and students. The exhibition will also
be open to non-participant visitors during the session times, enabling a broader community of
potential customers. Together with the conference participants, this will ensure that you receive
a high return on your investment and make the most out of your time spent in Edinburgh.
ICNS 2013 is organised by the Institute of Physics, a scientific
charity devoted to increasing the practice, understanding and
application of physics. It has a worldwide membership of 40 000
and is a leading communicator of physics-related science to
all audiences, from specialists through to government and the
general public. Its publishing company IOP Publishing is a world
leader in scientific publishing and the electronic dissemination
of physics.

Location
The exhibition will be held at the EICC in the Cromdale Hall
(level –2) and the Strathblane Hall (level 0) with refreshments
and posters.
Access
Access to set up your stand will be available on Sunday 7 July
and Monday 8 July. Further information on times will be
available in your exhibition manual.
Exhibition contractor
The exhibition contractor appointed for ICNS 2013 is the EICC.
Exhibition package
The exhibition will be shell scheme units and space is sold per
square metre (m2). The minimum area to be rented is 3 m2.
Included in your package:
• your company profile in the handbook and event guide that is
distributed to all delegates;
• a link to your company homepage from the conference
website;
• each exhibiting company will receive conference delegate
registrations (including refreshments and the exhibitors’
reception) and access to technical sessions:
• up to and including 6 m2 = 1 free registration
• 7 m2 to 10 m2 = 2 free registrations
• more than 10 m2 = 3 free registrations.
The cost to exhibit at ICNS 2013 is as follows:

VAT is charged at the prevailing rate, currently 20%. If the rate
is altered as a result of government legislation, charges may be
adjusted accordingly. The Institute’s VAT registration number is
461-6000-84.
The shell scheme includes:
• shell stand – black loop nylon in-fill panel wall(s) with 3 or
2 open sides, depending on location of stand – (Velcrocompatible);
• fascia name board (where stands are positioned on corner
sites two name boards will be supplied);
• 1 single 500 watt socket;
• 1.9 m table and 2 chairs;
• 2 spotlights;
• WiFi internet access.
Stands over 9 m2 will be entitled to 2 x 500 watt sockets,
4 spotlights and additional tables and chairs as required.
Additional furniture can be provided at an extra cost. You can

Exhibition guide
The guide will feature:
•an introduction to the conference;
•a full programme of talks;
•a list of companies and facilities exhibiting;
•advertising opportunities;
•exhibiting companies and facilities profile
(maximum 50 words).
The guide will be distributed to all attendees and will give them
the full summary of the conference timetable, therefore being an
invaluable source of information.
There are opportunities to enhance your company listing
with product news and a logo. There is also the opportunity
to enhance your presence at the event with advertising in the
exhibition guide and abstract booklet.

Booking your exhibition stand
To book your exhibition stand, please confirm your preferred
location from the floor plan and send details to Edward Jost to
secure your space. Alternatively you can book a stand online via
www.icns2013.org. Space is allocated on a first-come
first-served basis.
Sponsorship
Gold package We also invite sponsorship from companies, organisations and
facilities wishing to raise their profile within the community and
increase their visibility at the conference. The Premium, Gold and
Silver packages are inclusive of exhibition space.
