SUBJECT: FLORIDA PALM WORKSHOP NOTIFICATION AND AGENDA
The Department of Financial Services (DFS) recently began a multi-year project to
replace the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system and Cash
Management System (CMS) with a newer, more efficient financial management system.
The project is known as the Florida PALM Project, where PALM stands for Planning,
Accounting, and Ledger Management.
DFS is seeking input from state agencies through workshops. These workshops are an
opportunity for agency personnel to hear an overview of the proposed future financial
management processes which were developed through workgroup meetings with
subject matter experts from various state agencies. Key topics and processes areas to
be discussed for the workshops are below.

These workshops are designed to provide necessary information for agency personnel
to provide feedback on the proposed future financial management process on behalf of
their agency. They are not designed to be training sessions on the new processes.
Each agency will be asked to complete one combined questionnaire regarding the
proposed system processes. More information will be provided during the workshops.
Attendance is requested from agency personnel currently managing, overseeing, or
serving as key agency resources for the processes covered in the applicable workshop.
Workshops will be held at Department of Revenue’s Capital Circle Office Center, located
at 2450 Shumard Oak Boulevard (Building 2, Room 1250). Four sessions of each
workshop will be offered.

The Department of Revenue requires a list of authorized visitors for entry into their
building and access to their conference/training room. Agency personnel headquartered
in Tallahassee MUST register for workshops using the DFS Learning Management
System. The course names are ‘PALM 100 - Payment Processing for Goods and
Services’ and ‘PALM 200 - Receipt Processing for Funds Received’. Registration will
close at noon (12 p.m.) the day prior to each workshop.
A conference line has been reserved for agency personnel not headquartered in
Tallahassee. Agency personnel requesting access to the conference line should email
FloridaPALM@myfloridacfo.com to receive conference line information.
