FAQs
2016-2017 Online Registration
Q: Are the registration fees due now?
A: Registration fees are due now, however late payment fees will be assessed if your payment is received after
September 1, 2016. You may register your child now and pay the fees later; however, students with unpaid
registration fees will not be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities including athletics. If you prefer to
pay by check you may send it to your child’s school. Please make payable to Lake Zurich C.U.S.D. 95 and mark
the check ‘2016-2017 registration fees’.
Q: Are fee waivers available?
A: Registration Fees may be eliminated or reduced if your family is eligible for a fee waiver. Fee waivers must
be applied for annually. Applications are not available until August 1, 2016. Applications will be posted on the
Parents webpage. If you feel you may be eligible for a fee reduction or waiver, do not pay your registration fee
until after your application is reviewed in August.
Q: Can I log in to Home Access using my child’s login credentials?
A: No, you can’t use your child’s login credentials. Online Registration will only be available using your
Parent/Guardian login ID.
Q: I can’t remember how to log in to Home Access. What do I do?
A: In most cases your login ID is your email address. If you cannot remember your password, please use the
forgotten password link which will prompt you for security questions that you provided when you first created
your Home Access account and can be used to retrieve your password. If you cannot remember either, please
contact your school's office for assistance.
Q: I don’t have a Home Access Center log in. How do I register my student?
A: If you are the parent of a returning District 95 student, you already have a login ID and password for the Home
Access Center. If you are a parent/guardian but are not living with your child, you will not be able to register your
child. Only parents/guardians living with the student may complete the online registration.
Q: Which contacts listed for my child in Home Access will receive emergency alerts?
A: Only ‘Guardian’ and ‘Other’ contacts that are listed in the first four rows in the contacts table will receive
emergency alerts. We recommend that parents and stepparents are listed in the first four rows.
Q: Can I add, edit, and delete contacts that are listed for my child on Home Access?
A: Yes and no. You can edit and delete all existing contacts except those who have a contact type of guardian.
You can’t delete guardians or their information. You can add any contact type except a contact type of guardian.
If there are any changes that need to be made to your student’s guardian information, you will need to contact
your school directly.
Q: How do I successfully add a Stepparent to the contact list showing for my child in the Home Access
Center?
A: You click on the “Add Contact” button, and then you will select the contact type of “Other”. This designation
allows for individuals to pick up a student, call in absences and receive emergency alerts.
Q: I do not remember seeing a request to allow a thumb scan to be collected from my student last year.
What is this for?
A: This is new for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. There is a new POS system for lunches, Pushcoin, which
will incorporate the usage of biometrics. Allowing for your student to have their thumb scanned allows for
cashiers to accurately identify your student quickly in the lunch line. You may opt out of the thumb scan
collection.

Q: Can I go back to the system to purchase a PE uniform and/or yearbook if I didn't do it when I
registered?
A: Yes, you can purchase these "a la carte" items even if you no longer owe registration fees. Simply log in to

the “a la carte” items that you wish to purchase. Then, select your payment method and pay online.
Q: I registered my child online for next school year. How much is the fee this year?
A: The registration fees did not change this year. The registration fee should be showing by default when you get

Q: Where and when do I pick up the PE uniform I paid for during online registration?
A: PE uniforms can be picked up at the Residency Event on Monday, August 8th or on Tuesday, August 9th. The

you receive a confirmation email you can go back in to Home Access if you want to be sure the information
