Directions: Answer ONE of the following three questions in a five-paragraph essay. Your
essay should be detailed and specific, and should contain at 5 vocabulary terms from the
course. Please underline these terms as you use them. (Total = 25 points or 20% of the exam
grade)
1. Pick one thing about the US Constitution including its amendments that you think should
be changed. What modifications you would make? Explain your reasons for making this
change.
2. In your opinion, which of the three branches has the most power? Explain your answer
with a minimum of three examples/facts.
3. Discuss the Presidential Election process in the United States. Include the primary
elections, national conventions and the general elections. How can a candidate win the
popular vote, yet not win the election?
4. Should individual states have more or less power compared to the federal government
when implementing laws dealing with topics such as legalization of Marijuana, gay
marriage and abortion? Explain your reasoning for making this change.
