The RCN and NCPC are delighted to announce a further
series of 6 workshops in the Autumn on caring for people
at the end of their lives, building on the workshops held
in 2015.
Recent surveys have shown that
health care staff do not feel able
to deliver the care they would like
for people who are dying. These
workshops are aimed at practitioners
working with people approaching
the end of their lives and will provide
opportunities to discuss what good
end of life care should look like.
They will address ways of initiating
conversations about end of life
planning that could be useful in all
areas of nursing. The workshops will
also talk about the importance of
nurses looking after themselves.
These workshops will be of interest to
all non-specialist nurses in both the
acute setting and the community and
general practice. It will also be useful
to nurses working in care homes,
particularly those caring for people
who have a life-limiting illness and
may want to talk about their worries
and concerns.

Conference fees: The conference fee includes
registration for the conference, conference materials,
lunch and refreshments. It does not include travel or
accommodation.
Cancellations: Cancellations received one full
month before the start of the event will be refunded,
minus a 25% administration fee. No refunds can be
processed after this date. Places can be substituted
with the prior knowledge and agreement of RCN
Events.
It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of
the organisers to alter the content and timing of the
programme or the occasional identity of the speakers.
RCN Events take no responsibility for non-refundable
travel/accommodation in the case of a changed
programme or cancelled event.
