The literary program consisted of a book review of Silas Crcckett, by Mary Ellen Chase. The Quin song was sung-. Theta Nu: The following people hr.ve accepted invitations to join Theta Nu: Leland Beik Donald Grigg John Gulnac Way Hoyt It was decided that Thtt.^i Nu needs a larger room since the society is getting too l^r^^e fcr the present rc om; Mr, Moose»s cipproval was obtained on using room 321, We will use that room starting next week. Zeta Sigma: The meeting was called to order by the president at 12 o•clock. The secretary called the roll and the minutes of the previous meeting v;ere read. The treasurer's report v;as given. The business consisted ^f discussions in regard to the coming rush, for which d&. finate plans are now under v/ay. This year the rush will take place on Oct. 30 >F.r; ^^-rSO ?,M* to 5 o'clock. The girls voted upon having- a social get-together outside of school. The dc.te is set fcr October 24 when a theatre party t;ill take place for all members of Sigma. There will be seven regular cheerleaders for the coming year. The squad will be headed by Frances Levitz and Virginia iCelsey, v/ith two substitutes. Six new cheers have teen introduced by the leaders to their helpers and two new soiigs. These will be exhibited to the rest of the school during an assembly program in the near future. Miss Levitz said that any new cheers or songs will be welcomed as the old cheers have been worn out over long years of activity. The regular cheer leaders from the senior class are Frances Levitt, Virginia Kelsey, Janet Brener, Dorothy Harrison, Robert Emerick, Lowell Gypson, and Roger Orton. Those representing the junior class are Marjorie pond, and Virginia Tripp. Frances Bremer and Elizabeth Simmons are the substitutes.
