Dear Paul Barnes,
Achieving many goals in my life has helped me engage in expanding my professional horizon by seeking new challenges
through the pledge process of gaining membership into Alpha Kappa Psi Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity. I
recently heard about your organization through an active member by the name of Alexia Andrews. Alexia provided
valuable information about your organization in regards to the networking opportunities that Alpha Kappa Psi has to offer.
The following week I received a flyer, from Alexia, informing me of the upcoming rush events, and decided that it would
be beneficial for me to attend the events to learn more about your organization.
I am interested in becoming a member of your organization because the organization will present me with great
opportunities such as developing a brotherhood with a group of agreeing individuals as well as connect me with many
people in my career field of choice. What separates the truly successful from the rest is a high-level of contribution toward
the organizations most important goals. In pursuit of gaining membership into your organization it will help me to develop
effective networking skills as well as the tools to perfect my resume. This would be a great opportunity to try something
new and it will also help enhance my personal skills such as responsibility, respect, and personal speaking skills. Gaining
membership will help me build myself into becoming a better professional business leader for the future.
As a student at Western Michigan University, majoring in Film, Video, and Media Studies with a minor in Apparel
Merchandising I am able to use my skills learned from previous experiences. If granted the opportunity to become an
active member of your fraternity I can provide efficiency, honesty, and reliability as well as the ability to look at
challenges as opportunities to advance.
Being granted the opportunity to become an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi Co-ed Professional Business Fraternity,
this will help me to expand my professional horizon by strengthening my public speaking and professionalism. This will
