NORTH PENN SCHOOL DISTRICT GIFTED EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship sponsored by the North Penn Association for Gifted Education What defines an NPAGE Scholar? An NPAGE Scholar is a student who excels academically, displays a genuine quest for knowledge, thrives in the discovery process, is a leader among peers and embraces the attributes of integrity and honesty. Students are required to submit a completed application form together with a copy of their current official transcript and essay responses. One $500 scholarship will be awarded each year. All applications must be submitted by March 30, 2016. The scholarship will identify a student who best meets the following guidelines: Eligibility Requirements and Academic Criteria A graduating senior in good academic standing A student who has been identified by the NPSD to receive a GIEP ~ Gifted Individualized Education Program The student’s family is a current member of NPAGE Characteristics Strives for excellence and continually seeks higher challenges Demonstrates leadership abilities Exhibits creative thinking Is extremely curious and has a thirst for knowledge Exhibits a passion for learning Is highly motivated Embraces the ideals of integrity and honesty Demonstrates a high level of maturity and a strong sense of self Seeks a challenging, flexible and diverse high school program Application Process 1.
