Standing Linkage Committee (Long-Term) for Power/Cement/Sponge
Iron Sectors held on 23rd December, 2014 — under Agenda Items No.
4 of SLC (LT) for Power -reg.

am directed to refer to Ministry of Coal's communication of No, 23014/3/2014CPD(pt-II) dated 11.03.2015 forwarding therewith the minutes of the Standing Linkage
Committee (Long-Term) for Power/Cement/Sponge Iron Sectors held on 23rd
December, 2014 and to say that the proposal of transfer of existing coal linkage of Units
1 to 4 at PTPS, Panipat to the new supercritical unit to be set up at PTPS, Panipat was
deliberated under Agenda Item No. 4 of SLC (LT) for Power held on 23.12.2014. The
recommendation of the SLC (LT) is as under:Agenda Item No

Recommendation of the SLC(L T)
The Committee recommended that recommendation
of MoP may be accepted. Regarding coal from the
closed Faridabad Unit, it shall be covered as pe.
Agenda item No.2. The additional requirement of coal
consequent upon additional capacity of the new plant
will be covered by the extant policy of scrapping old
units and their replacement by new units.
