Dear Members,
A simple 'Thank You' may not be enough to express my gratitude to all of you for making me the Convenor of
J.B. Nagar CPE Study Circle for the year 2016-17. But, at this juncture, I am running out of adjectives to express
my feelings and emotions. I promise to live up to your expectations and also seek your full support, guidance and
blessings to keep the flag of J.B. Nagar CPE Study Circle flying high.
World around us is changing fast, thanks to revolution taking place in information technology and telecommunication
fields. Also our profession, for no fault of us, has come under increased media glare in recent times which unless
handled properly may bring negative image to this noble profession. Further, increased competition from other
professional bodies has only made our task of staying ahead of others much tougher. Despite these challenges and
hurdles, we can move ahead of others provided we join together and work as a team to achieve our goal. Let's all
concentrate on four core aspects of success – Learn, Educate, Aspire and Perform - which will help us to LEAP ahead
of others.
Thus, we have chosen our mission statement for 2016-17 as LEAP not without any reasons. Each alphabet of LEAP
itself signifies a noble task –
?• Learn - learning is a life-long process and is necessary to keep professionally acquainted with latest developments.
?• Educate - it is your human and also professional responsibility to share and educate other professional colleagues
about whatever you know.
?• Aspire - aspiration is the greatest driving force in life.
• Perform - without performance your aspiration will just remain a dream
By successfully accomplishing these tasks, I am sure, we will be able to LEAP ahead of others. To achieve our goal,
we have already chalked out our action plan for 2016-17. In short, year 2016-17 is all about learning, sharing and
achieving our professional goals. Thus, Action Plan for 2016-17 is based on the objective of enhancing knowledge
and expanding network with equal weightage on health, stress minimization and entertainment.
Now talking about Institute's events, I would like to inform you that we had organized Full Day Seminar on Statutory
Audit of Companies Jointly with WIRC on 16th April, 2016 and more than 120 members were participated and the
program was successful. On 23rd April 2016, ICAI held the meeting with the representatives of South Asian Federation
of Accountants (SAFA) at WIRC which was attended by various members of our Study Circle.
Before I conclude, let me thank all of you, once again, for giving me an opportunity to serve you as the Convenor
of the J.B. Nagar CPE Study Circle. We all together can make 2016-17 a LEAP year in its truest sense.
