This table is in accordance with AR l-75/OPNAVINST 4900.31F/AFR 4@45 and AR 310 series. Together with documents listed in paragraph 3, it is the authority for the designated State Department officials to requisition and issue, in accordance with pertinent State Department or De­ partment of the Army directives, ail items of equip­ ment listed herein unless otherwise indicated. 2. Application. a. Items of quipment listed herein are authorized for the operation of Office of Military Cooperation, Egypt. The mission of this unit is to administer US miiitary assistance to Egypt including the interna­ tional sales and logistics program and residual as­ pects of the grant aid military assistance program to foster host country miIitary competence and further US national policiesand interests. b. Procurement, issue, substitution, and retention of items of quipmcnt authorized herein will be ac­ complished in accordance with AR l-75/OPNAVINST 4900.3lF/AFR 400-45 and the provisions of Joint State/Defense Airgram CA 727, sub­ ject: Transfer of USMILGP Administrative and Support Functions to the Embassy. c. Allowances listed in section 11 herein are not duplicated by authorizations listed paragraph 3. d. Trophies and articies of historical nature are not listed in this table but may be retained until un­ serviceable. e. When an LCC-A preferred item is authorized in the JTA and a suitable substitute is onhand, such items normally will be retained until not economical­ ly repairable. f. Items .of equipment authorized herein, except commercial nontype classified items, are the latest adopted typc articles. Priorities of issue of substitute items pending availability of later models, or in lieu thereof until exhausted, are established and author­ ized by current supply directives. g. The listing of an item or set, kit, or outfit in this table provides authority for acquisition of applicable repair parts, accessories, special tools, and compo­ nents thereof which are shown in applicable manuals, listings and bulletins, commensurate with the as­ signed responsibilities for maintenance and the den­ sity of the authorized items. h. Issues made by a military department against authorizations and allowances contained in this JTA will be chargeable to the appropriate military func­ tions appropriations. i. Issues made by Department of State against au­ thorizations and allowances contained in this JTA will be chargeable to the Office of Miiitary Coopera­ tion, Egypt operating funds. j. Items contained in this JTA arc authorized only to the extent that these same, or comparable, items are not furnished by the Department of State or the host government. k.
