Receiving her entire training in Los Angeles, Miss Kinch
won an enviable position there as one of the leading satiric
and dramatic dancers of that part of the country.
The wide range of her activities has included the performance of featured roles in major motion picture productions as well as appearing in plays at the Pasadena Community
Playhouse. She performed in two of her major dance works
accompanied by a symphony orchestra at the San Francisco
Memorial Opera House and choreographed the ballet for the
opera "Aida."

Noses Out Siena By 5-4
In This
Corner - By R. DAVIES
My track article oi last week covered the mechanics
of starting a sport and their application to the new track
team. The rapid-fire action that has taken place during
the past few weeks now veems to be taking effect in the
forrr. oi an intramural track team.
The members of the team have selected Lynn Costello.
'63. and Paul Slusar. '64. as the track commissioners m
accord with AMIA regulations Lynn and Paul hav- contacted the AMIA board and have received recognition for
a track meet on Saturday Mav 6 between 11:30 a.m. and
2:00 p.m. This is in the'afternoon of Moving-Up-Day.
In order to facilitate the scoring o: the meet, the
commissioners have set up three teams using the fraternities, men's dorms, and oil campus students. Each team
is to appoint or elect a captain who is to prepare a team
roster, including players and events entered These lists
are to be turned in at a meeting of ail captains and the
commissioners on Monday. May 1. The rules and regulations governing the meet will be decided upon at this time.
Concerning prizes, individual awards will be made to the
first, second, and third place winners in each event.
The team has been working out in Eleeker Stadium
for the past few weeks Workouts will be held each afternoon at the stadium under the supervision of the Albany
High coach Mr. Becket 'except when there is a conflict
with a high school meet)
Track is one of the oldest and most highly developed
sports known to man It is one of the few sports capable
oi holding the attention o: the entire world A listing of
the men and women who nave become almost legends in
their own lifetimes through track would exhaust pages
of print. Yet with ail the glamor that track excites.
State College docs r.ot as yet have any claim to one
Track is a sport requiring great time and energy.
It Ls not a sport for weaklings. This new track team is
an excellent opportunity for individual as well as group
recognition A team mav receive acclaim as a ootent track
team, but the individual

team remember, the level of your success vc: depend entirely upon the amount of effort expended, If vou want
to figure in on State College's track team now is the
time to act'
The track meet is only a week away and there is
not much time for preparation to date. If you want to
participate, contact one of the commissioners Then start
working out Any equipment needed will be issued to
you at the equipment sheds on Veterans' Field If the
tournament is a success. State vhll have its track team
by next year Everyone who comes out and enters the
tournament will be helping to get the team into orb:'

nineteen strikeouts—three short of
the Stale record which he holds.
This was one of those wild type
names played in uncomfortably
cold weather. Spina also registered
eleven walks as well as hitting two
batsmen. The hitting for both sides
was slim and the runs were provided by walks for the most part.
A Siena passed ball scored two
runs in the fifth.
Joe Mealy, Siena catcher, who is
one nl the best hitlers in the Capital District both during .school and
in the sinner, fanned four times
while facing the left arm of Spina.

rumors began to circulate that this
new fraternity, RKO, was not really
new after all but was the result
of an insidious plot by API to establish a farm team.
If this is true, God forbid, then
we can easily imagine what will
happen. In time, every fraternity
will have its own farm team and
the entire structure of IFC will resemble that of Major League Baseball.
The following are excerpts from
the minutes of an IFC meeting
sometime in the future. By this
time such practices a s : interfraternity trading, drafting, and
subsidization of high school students will be firmly established

SFCY.: Commissioner Villi opened the meeting at 7:30. The minutes were read and the meeting
was declared open for old business.
SPS again requested permission to
establish a new franchise. After a
brief discussion the topic was retabled until the next week. RKO
then refused API's offer of ten veterans, and three political losers for
one weight lifter. YMCA turned
down KC's offer of five waiters,
three hoarse Statesmen, and a
campus king for nine baseball
players. This ended old business.
New business: YMCA asked for
a decision on whether it was legal
for Rocky Quisling to refuse to play
for them after they had bought
him from SPS for an undisclosed
sum. The topic was tabled pending
further research. API then offered
two crooked score keepers and a
retired stage - manager f or the
YMCA rail. SPS then offered their
whole fraternity for a new franchise and a case of Hedricks. Both
trades were rejected by the council. One trade did go through, however, concerning faculty advisors.
SI'S accepted KC's offer of five biology professors for three English
professors after they threw in two
gallons of wine. The meeting was
adjourned at 7:15 and the representatives all went drinking. Respectively submitted, etc.

Laughs and tears are in store for the listening audience as the M U D speakers take the

Secret, hush, MUM's (not MUD) the word after Senate so talently selected the most
