Females Have Increased Majority On Judicial Body

Thirty - Seventh Tapping Small To Lead
The women of State added to their majority on Myskania in the
'53-'54 judicial body tapped this morning, increasing the ratio to four
men and nine women. The outgoing thirteen had maintained a near
balance of six to seven, the women in the majority. As the last stanza
of "Arm and Arm" died away this morning, the eyes of the audience
turned expectantly to the stage as the old Myskania look their places
in the second row of seals to make room for the next body to be tapped.
HAROLD BACON SMITH assumed the position of'speaker, while
ROSKMARY KATHKRINK KKI.LKR, Chairman of the thirteen.
took her place beside him ready to pin the purple and gold tassels on
the soon-to-be-tapped judiciary for the coming year.

One year ago today, we, a new and inexperienced XKWS
Board stepped into the well-worn journalistic shoes of our
predecessors, not quite sure of our jobs or our abilities to perform them, but with high hopes for a successful year for ourselves and all of Student Association. Today, much to our sur» prise, we find t h a t it is already our (urn to move up and out,
leaving many of those hopes unfulfilled, many others car2615 ried out in a far different manner than we had hoped. Today
ijKii we vacate our places in Ihe I'O to make way for a new Kdilnr
1250 and her Board and staff, the ''7th in our historv.
