STATE COLLEGE NEWrS, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, 1931
State College N e w s
Established l.y the Class of 1918
The Undergraduate Newspaper of New York
State College for Teachers
NO CRITICISM NECESSARY
T h e freshman class has come in for some criticism
in the conduct of the elections of officers. It has been
charged, that members of the class have placed too
much emphasis on regularly organized "campaigns"
and have appointed "managers."
This critical attitude is not well taken. There is no
reason why men and women of this college should not
have the same opportunities for conducting elections
as are granted in other institutions. Even the students
of Milne High school are allowed campaign managers
and election speeches. Shall College students he allowed less opportunity?
