FALL 2016
• 19,116 transfer applications
• 11% increase from last year
• Fall 2016 transfer waitlist
• Increase in CA residents at the transfer
level
All Colleges and School of Business
• Major prep is critical
• Students should take ALL articulated courses
listed on ASSIST
• Students must complete the UC Berkeley
prerequisite forms for admission
• Full IGETC certification required by end of
spring term – Partial not accepted (IGETC will
not satisfy breadth for the Haas School or
Business)
College of Letters & Sciences
• Students should have a “Plan B” major in
mind
• Look for research, applied research, global
issues, and leadership options in the
community setting
• Students who are the most successful in
declaring their intended major exceed
minimum admission requirements
College of Engineering
• The Civil Engineering major will not require Jr
Transfer applicants to complete Biology 1B for
Fall 2017 admissions.
• Bio 1B will be listed in the "strongly
recommended" courses for admission, as it
was in prior years.
College of Natural Resources
• Complete the minimum prerequisites outlined
in ASSIST
• CNR has provided transfer guides on their
website to help prospective students
understand the requirements
Haas School of Business
• Received 1800+ Fall 2016 applications and
over 1100 were ineligible
• Most transfer students are denied admission
to Haas because they either do not submit the
Haas Supplement in January or do not show
planned completion of all of our admission
requirements.
• Haas advised prospective transfer applicants
by phone or in person
Thank You
