POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Manager Enrollment Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Professional E (Technology Support) JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for schedule development and management, conducting enrollment management schedule building sessions, on-going projects, data reports, and statistical analysis of gathered information. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Provide professional support for the enrollment management process by designing, developing, modifying, compiling, generating, publishing, and ensuring accuracy of reports/statistics relating to student enrollment, student retention, room utilization, and other special projects as they relate to the area of Instruction. Coordinate with other departments and informational systems, both internally and externally. Access national, state, and local on-line databases for obtaining information to disseminate in useable format to the areas of Instruction. YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 50% 2. Responsible for the operational effectiveness of assigned projects through the development and recommendation of operational standards and district procedures, including involvement in appropriate committees within the District. 15% 3. Plan, develop, set timelines, publish, and maintain and enrollment management calendar based upon input form district-wide offices and departments. 10% 4. Provide planning, research, training, guidance, counsel, technical expertise, and/or recommendations pertaining to enrollment management to upper level management who have responsibility for the instructional unit within the District. 15% 5. Maintain working relationships within the District by participating and assisting with research, review, and evaluation of instructional programs to ensure compliance with the internal and external policies, rules, regulations, and laws. 10% REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Vice President Instruction ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Effective: 9/1/01 Page 1 of 2 EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skills/Abilities: Effective communication skills both in writing and verbally, the ability to effectively deliver presentations. 2. Equipment Used: Mainframe computer equipment, Personal Computer and other equipment associated with a general office environment (copier, phone, fax, etc.) 3. Software Used: In addition to a variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database software; HRIS, integrated administrative information system and network E-mail, must operate SCT Banner, ODBC connectivity and various statistical packages, including: Web for Executives and Strategic Enrollment Management software (The SAS System). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and repetitive motion. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Alternative or combined skills in understanding, and/or influencing people are important in achieving job objectives, causing action, understanding others, or changing behavior; and, skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others. WORKING CONDITIONS: Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with occasional distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements.
