POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Project Graphics Designer Non-Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Classified E JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate and provide graphics design services for Texas LEARNS Project. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 70% 1. Create graphics design and graphics services for the Texas LEARNS Project by providing the format standardization and graphics designs used in curricula for statewide adult basic education text books. 2. Coordinate, design, and production of materials with subcontractors. 10% 3. Coordinate, evaluate, schedule and complete graphics design services within requested timelines. 10% 4. Proof all design work and make corrections as needed; ensure accuracy, completeness and technical reproduction of complete work. 5% 5. Proof typesetting of design work; provide limited training and guidance to student interns. 5% REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Project Manager SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skills/Abilities: Continually produce innovative graphic ideas and artistic images to promote/market the program. 2. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, fax, telephone, copier, and other equipment associated with an office environment. 3. Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
