NORTH PENN SCHOOL DISTRICT School Board Policy 5119 STUDENT Reference: Board Policy #5125 Attendance Transfers and Withdrawals Transfer to a school outside the district shall be made upon appropriate notification of the change of residence of said student. Transfer cards shall be issued by the school from which the student is transferring. The transfer of records to the receiving school shall be made in accordance with board policy #5125 after the official request for same is received from the receiving school. Transfers to schools within the district shall be made following the above outlined procedure when a student’s place of residence is moved from one attendance area to another. In the event of demonstrated hardship on a family, the superintendent or appropriate designee may authorize a transfer within the school district. Such transfers shall be reviewed annually by the superintendent or designee. Compulsory school attendance requirements (School Laws of Pennsylvania, Sections 1326-1330) must be satisfied before withdrawal is authorized.
