NORTH PENN SCHOOL DISTRICT School Board Policy 4149 PERSONNEL Reference: Administrative Regulation #4152 and Board Policy #4152.3 Professional and Support Staff Continuation of Insurance Payments According to the provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act, any employee who is on a leave of absence without pay due to continued illness beyond the expiration of his/her sick leave entitlement will continue to receive insurance coverage until the expiration of the approved Family Medical Leave Act period. During this approved absence, the district will contribute its share of the insurance premiums without interruption upon notification by the employee of the desire to have coverage continued and the receipt of the employee’s share of the cost. At the conclusion of the Family Medical Leave Act period, and prior to return to duty, employee has the right to purchase health care benefits at full cost, through the district provided Cobra program.
