When finalizing these events, don't forget that only those who satisfy all requirements are allowed to participate in the Graduation ceremony in June. The parties will be fun for those who have 24.4 credits. Getting your yearbook signed will be most meaningful if you finish your

English papers. The graduation practice will proceed as scheduled for all who have passed

Physical Education. We hope each of you will earn the right to march with the class when the music of "Pomp and Circumstance" is played at 10:30 AM. on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the

Pavilion on the campus of Villanova University. continued

ALL OBLIGATIONS MUST BE SATISFIED

All obligations must be satisfied before you can receive your diploma. Overdue library books and lost textbooks generate the largest number of obligations, but unreturned uniforms and anything else you owe the school is included. If you're uncertain that you owe a book, check with the Library and the Main Office. Make sure you complete your Graduation Project and

School/Community Service forms.

SUCCESS OR FAILURE: YOUR CHOICE

Perhaps the major reason for failure on the college level is poor reading comprehension.

Consider beginning a program of improvement over the summer to help with understanding.

Schedule a daily 30 minute time period to sit down, read and concentrate. Push yourself to read quickly, but stop every five pages to recall what was just read. If your comprehension was good, move on. If not, reread until better understanding is attained. Keep a dictionary handy and look up words you don't know. Ask your English teacher for suggested readings. The second reason for an unsuccessful college experience would be the failure to attend class regularly. By all means go to class each and every meeting time. Take notes and review them daily. Do this in addition to all other course requirements.
