SUMMER ADVENTURE
Day Camp - Pages 4, 5, 13-16
Summer Adventure is our day camp program and a place where children laugh, learn and
love to come every day. We welcome children who have completed kindergarten through
6th grade. Each summer our campers explore a different adventure theme through games,
songs, crafts, stories, food, trips and their imagination. We offer children a structured day of
fun activities while keeping in mind what kids need most in the summer—time to be a kid.
Our flexible schedule makes us a favorite among parents. We offer FREE extended hours
and as always, lunch and snacks are included! Whether you are looking for a summer full of
activities for your child in our nine-week program, or just a few weeks to keep them busy, we
will be sure to provide them with a memorable Summer Adventure!
CLUB ADVENTURE
Workshops- pages 6-10, 12, 13
Our Club Adventure workshop program offers enrichment opportunities for children who
don’t need a full day of camp, but would like to use their summer to explore different areas
of interest. We schedule a variety of workshops through the summer open to students who
have completed kindergarten through 8th grade (check workshop listings for age ranges).
Whether kids want to spend a week exploring a new language; testing their culinary skills;
creating arts or crafts; expanding their science and technology expertise or stretching their
music talents; parents can create a summer of activities specific to their child’s interests and
schedule.
Of course, Club Adventure participants may also register for Summer Adventure Camp Day
Trips or Open Swim Days (pages 5, 13, 14), as long as they are registered for the day with
Summer Adventure Day Camp.

New this year to SACE’s Adventure Workshop program—
exciting science and technology workshops by Mad
Science. This educational franchise is devoted to
encouraging scientific literacy in children in an age when
science is as vital as reading, writing and arithmetic by
creating state-of-the-art, hands-on programming and science
experiments for kids.
Whether your child loves to build things or destroy them, this week of camp includes lots of
both! The junior Mad Science engineers will design and build Bridges and “Skyscrapers” and
even construct a Geodesic Dome big enough for all the campers to sit inside! Then the machine
madness starts… This journey will include many different machines, simple & complex, we use
in our daily lives. Campers will have fun building their very own Catapults, Sonic Race Car and
much more to take home from this Awesome Camp! This Camp is a Sonic Blast! Grades K-6.

Our Spy Academy will help you sharpen your special operative skills as you learn about the Secret
World of Espionage! The key to being a great spy is your ability to use science to “sniff” out your
suspects and uncover their secrets. We will utilize spy gear such as metal detectors, spy ears,
and motion sensors to hone our skills. Unlock your spy skills as we tackle the toughest security
breaches. We will “pick open” locks, sneak past a whisper meter, and create our own security
system. Teams will attempt to crack through each other’s security systems and track a treasure.

there. In this advance space program, we will investigate unique flying machines, including building
balloon-copters, boomerangs and a mini hovercraft as take home projects for the children. Most
importantly, they learn firsthand about the aerodynamic properties of flying machines by building their
own Estes model rockets! Once the rockets are completed, children will blast off on a real Mad Science
space mission Live Rocket Launches! This Mad Science Camp is Out Of This World!!! Grades K-6.
