PORTFOLIOS
 A portfolio is a representation of yourself and your skills.
 It will become an essential tool for receiving college
acceptance letters, scholarships, and your dream job!

WHAT’S INSIDE
 You may include single works or a developed series that
explores a particular subject or personal vision.
 Portfolios should contain between 12 to 20 pieces.
 Most colleges accept electronic or slide portfolios.
 Images on electronic portfolios should be in the format of
JPEGs, GIFs, or PDFs burned to a CD-R.
 Include original work only.
 Include in-depth personal projects that have been developed
over a period of time.

 Cover Sheet:
• Name
• Course
• Date Started
 Include a Portfolio Info Sheet for each item. (This is the first
page for each section and saved in the correct folder for each
item.)

WHAT TO INCLUDE
For each of the following items below, print and place in a binder,
save on your computer, use tabs or folders to divide sections, and
include info sheets:
 4C Presentation
 Applications
 Resumes
 Letters of Recommendation (including one completed
Recommendation Request handout)
 Essays (One will be required in the 4C assignment.)
