Performing Arts Camp
For over 30 years, directors Will and Suzy Liegel have been offering year-round classes,
touring children’s choirs, traveling children’s theatre and young performer’s shows in
addition to its dynamic, professional and fun, carefully planned, creative camp for students with an interest in the performing arts and related fields. Camp features small age
divided classes for half- or full-day opportunities. The accent is on building self-confi
dence, taking “safe risks” and building teams all while polishing skills in the stage and
screen arts.
Staff members come from the finest university arts programs and bring their experience, training and boundless enthusiasm to camp every day. Creative music, drama and dance
training in the mornings, and 25 elective offerings every afternoon, makes every day an
adventure. Afternoon offerings include: video production, stage combat, costuming, improvisation, various dance styles, tech theatre, clowning, music composition, puppetry, theatre history, acting styles and so much more. New this summer is stage production for older campers to span a few classes and then produce a full one-act musical show!
Campers in grades 1-9 meet each morning for warm ups, games, special guests and more. Snack time, intermission extras, lunch
and recreation times break up the day and give campers and staff a real chance to connect - which brings our campers back year
after year. Camp theme days might include Color Day, Disney Day, Pirate Day or Circus Day with special costumes, competitions
and activities. The end of camp closes with a demo-performance night for family and friends.
Students in grades 10-12 may be interested in the T&K high school Apprentice Program. Added to daily advanced activities is
a field trip to NYC, Talent Showcases, Night of One Acts and specially designed performance, tech, or theatre education study
tracks make their summer extra special. They become respected mentors for younger campers and build their own leadership
resume for future activities.
For information, please call the NPSD Community Eduction Office at 215-853-1028/1029, or the directors at T&K at 215-8589528. Checks should be payable to “On Stage & Off.” Mail registration form and check to the Community Education Office, located
at 401 E. Hancock St., Lansdale, PA 19446. Confirmation will be given for each camp participant by “On Stage & Off” with “Enjoy
Camp” full materials sent just prior to camp. Ask for a 12-page pictorial brochure to be sent.

provides creative problem-solving
opportunities for students from
Kindergarten through college. Team
members apply their creativity to
solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to

presenting their own interpretation of
literary classics. OotM teaches students how to think divergently through open-ended problems that appeal to a wide
range of interests. Students solve these problems by writing
skits, sewing costumes, making props and, depending on
the problem choice, building vehicles, technical elements or
balsa wood structures. OotM Camp is designed for students
who would like to find out about North Penn’s OotM program
or those who participated in the program and want to learn
more. Campers will be coached by knowledgeable adults
and older students who will share their expertise in various
areas including problem solving, improvisation, team building
and construction. No prior experience with OotM is required
