Training Requirements
It is the policy of Elizabeth City State University to comply with all United States (U.S.) Export Control laws and regulations, including those implemented by National Security Decision Directive 189 (NSDD 189); the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) through the Bureau of Industry and Security’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (trade and dual use protection) (15 CFR 700 –799); the U.S. Department of State through its International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (national Security) (22 CFR 120 –130) and those imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department through its Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) (trade embargo); and the University of North Carolina General Administration Policy Manual 500.1 The CITI Training program has been recognized to meet federal requirements for Export Control
Education. Learners receive completion certificates when institutional requirements are met.

To create an account Click Register or log in as a returning user with your current
Username and Password.
Enter Elizabeth City State University as your Organization Affiliation.
Enter Personal Information

Create your Username and Password.

Complete Learner Registration
:
Complete Continuing Education Credit Questions.

Provide requested information for Elizabeth City State University. :
Select Curriculum.
Answer “YES” only to Question #5 and Complete Registration

Click on Finalize Registration

Click on Elizabeth City State University Courses then Click on Export
Control.

Click on Complete the Integrity Assurance Statement before beginning the
course.
The modules have a required quiz located at the bottom of the page. Click on “Take the Quiz”.
Click “Submit” to generate a grade for that module. This section also allows return to the grade
book and main menu.
You are required to complete all four (4) modules and achieve a cumulative score of 80%. If a
desired score is not achieved on a quiz, you may repeat the quiz in which you did not score 100%
correct.
Once all required courses are completed, instruction will be given on how to print the “Course
Completion Report”. Print or download this report as evidence of meeting Elizabeth City State
University’s requirements and forward it with your COI disclosure. You may return to the course
site in the future to obtain a copy of the completion report.
