The Global Citizenship Programme ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP Pa nel Di sc u s sion & Dr i n k s Recept ion At UCL we study global problems: problems of global health and intercultural interaction, of how to promote human well-being, and of how to create sustainable cities. A Global Citizen is someone who takes responsibility for these global problems, who engages actively in the search for solutions, and who tries to change things. In the absence of a global state with a global government and global voting rights, one way to try to change things is through activism. What does it mean to be an active Global Citizen? What is activism? What are the challenges that global activism faces?
