The  Political  Science  Department  has  no  chair  at  this  time     x
Chair  position  vacant  because  of  personal  reasons     x
Department  is  back  to  the  start  looking  for  a  new  chair  to  appoint
Journal  Update     x
Mark  and  Joe  are  working  on  finishing  the  editing  that  needs  to  be  done     x
Aiming  to  have  all  editing  done  by  October     x
Ready  to  print  by  November
Journal  Launch  Party/  Faculty  &  Student  Mixer     x
Instead  of  doing  two  separate  events  the  launch  party  and  the  mixer  should  be  combined     x

Chris  will  work  on  getting  the  Liquor  license  so  that  we  can  serve  wine  &  bottled  beer     x

We  are  getting  some  funding  from  the  department  as  well   ʹ  Paige  will  email  Lynn  Kool   x
Chris  motions  to  move  forward  and  have    Journal  Launch  Party/  Faculty  &  Student  Mixer  on

Aim  is  to  have  speaker  panel  consisting  of  individuals  with  various  experiences  and  perspectives   x
2  speakers  from  the  BC  Liberals  are  on  board   x
Chris  is  going  to  talk  to  Latin  American  Studies  department  to  get  speakers     x
John    will  approach  the  Women ͛ s  Center  on  campus  and  maybe  get  some  NDP  speakers   x
Moderator   ʹ  Paige  will  approach  Professor  Fuji  Johnson  to  see  if  she  is  interested     x
All  members  should  look  out  for  speakers  that  can  take  part  in  this  event     x
Pushed  back  this  event  to  end  of  January   next  semester    to  give  us  more  time  to  get  speakers  and   promote  the  event
