CIS STUDENT ENRICHMENT FUND PH.D. STUDENT SUPPORT SPRING 2016 CIS SUPPORT FOR PH.D. STUDENTS This award is offered on a competitive basis by the Center for Information Systems in the College of Business Administration at Kent State University. It is intended to encourage Ph.D. students to engage in research and other professional activities in the area of Information Systems. PURPOSE: To provide financial support for Ph.D. students to engage in professional activities such as conducting research or attending conferences AWARD AMOUNT: $1,000 (1 available) ELIGIBILITY: Ph.D. students in Management Systems with a concentration in Information Systems PROCEDURE: Interested students may apply by submitting (via e-mail to cbakes@kent.edu) a brief statement (e.g., a few paragraphs) that includes a description of the proposed professional activity, a detailed budget, a summary of the expected benefits, and documentation of seeking funding from other sources SCHEDULE: The application deadline is February 1, 2016 The award recipient will be announced and recognized at the May 6, 2016 CIS meeting No later than June 30, 2017, the award recipient must submit a completed expense form and all receipts to: Ms. Terri Harmon M&IS Department Office Room A-432 College of Business Administration Kent State University Kent, Ohio 44242 OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: The CIS Scholarship Committee reserves the right to select the award recipient however they deem appropriate 12/10/2015
