Asunto:
Segunda reunión del Grupo de Tareas Especiales 1/7 sobre la Protección de las bandas
de servicios pasivos contra las emisiones no deseadas
Introducción
La próxima reunión del Grupo de Tareas Especiales 1/7 fue prevista en el programa de reuniones de
las Comisiones de Estudio de Radiocomunicaciones por la Reunión de los Presidentes y
Vicepresidentes de las Comisiones de Estudio que tuvo lugar en Junio de 2000.
Fecha y lugar de la reunión
La Radiocommunications Agency de los Países Bajos ha ofrecido actuar como anfitriona de la
reunión del Grupo de Tareas Especiales 1/7 (véase el Anexo 1). La reunión tendrá lugar en
Maastricht, Países Bajos, del 25 al 29 de junio de 2001. En el Anexo 3 encontrarán más
información. En el mismo edificio estarán los servicios relacionados directamente con las
actividades de las reuniones, tales como la inscripción de delegados, la distribución de documentos,
etc. La inscripción comenzará a las 08:30 horas del 25 de junio de 2001. La reunión del Grupo de
Tareas Especiales empezará a las 10:00 horas.
Programa de la reunión
El Anexo 2 contiene un anteproyecto de orden del día para la reunión.
Idioma de trabajo
El Grupo de Tareas Especiales efectúa sus actividades en inglés.

Contribuciones
Se solicitan contribuciones en respuesta a los trabajos del Grupo de Tareas Especiales. Estas
contribuciones serán preparadas de acuerdo con lo estipulado en la Resolución UIT-R 1. Debe
enviarse un ejemplar de cada contribución al Director de la Oficina de Radiocomunicaciones para
su procesamiento. Las contribuciones deben enviarse asimismo al Presidente del Grupo de Tareas
Especiales y al Presidente y Vicepresidentes de la Comisión de Estudio 1. Las direcciones
correspondientes figuran en el Anexo 4 a la presente circular. Se insta a los participantes a que
presenten sus contribuciones por correo electrónico a:

Los documentos que se reciban hasta seis semanas antes de la reunión se enviarán en su idioma
original, en la medida de lo posible, antes de la celebración de la misma. Las contribuciones tardías
recibidas hasta siete días antes de la reunión se pondrán a disposición de los participantes al
iniciarse la reunión, en el idioma de trabajo original y, de ser posible, en inglés. La Secretaría no
puede garantizar que los documentos recibidos después de este plazo límite de siete días estén
disponibles para la apertura de la reunión. En la Resolución UIT-R 1 se estipula que las
contribuciones que no puedan distribuirse a los participantes al comienzo de la reunión no serán
examinadas.
Participación
Le ruego se sirva informar la participación prevista de su representante o representantes a más
tardar un mes antes de la apertura de la reunión, por medio del formulario adjunto (Anexo 5) (que
puede fotocopiarse si es necesario).

Accommodation
Reservation for accommodation have to be made via the annexed form (see Annex 6), which should
be sent, whenever possible, before 25 May 2001 directly to the Venue.
A block reservation of about 30 rooms has been made at the venue; rooms in this accommodation
will be booked according to the sequence of incoming registration forms; once this venue is fully
booked, the surplus of registrations will be booked at other accommodations close to the venue.
Of course, it is free for delegates to arrange their own facilities; however noting the location of the
meeting venue, the use of the block reservation is highly recommended.
The price of a single room (breakfast included) is HFL 170,The price of a double room (breakfast included) is HFL 112,50 per person.
Lunch will be provided by the Radiocommunications Agency free of charge.
About Maastricht
Vaeshartelt Castle Conference Centre is situated on the outskirts of Maastricht, the oldest and most
beautiful city in the Netherlands, with an abundance of outdoor cafes, fine restaurants and pleasant
pubs and bars. The medieval streets and squares within the old city walls are an ideal place to relax

and enjoy yourself, and Maastricht also has a number of exclusive shopping streets. The city’s
theatres, cinemas, imposing churches, architecture, museums and annual festivals also attract many
visitors.
How to reach Maastricht
By train from Schiphol Airport to Maastricht Central Station: approximate 2:45 hours (for train
table see http://www.ns.nl/reisplan2.asp)
By public transport from Maastricht Central Station: taxi, railway taxi service, city bus or regional
bus.
By plane to Maastricht Airport (direct or via Schiphol Airport)
Visa
Please contact the Consulate or Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in your country so that
the necessary formalities can be completed as soon as possible. For a personal invitation please

Health
Participants should have an international health insurance in case of emergency.
Weather
During June the temperature in the Netherlands varies between about 20 and 25 degrees C. A light
overcoat is recommended as well as an umbrella as some rain might fall during your stay in the
Netherlands.
