Introduction

The meeting of the Joint Rapporteur Group of Working Parties 8A and 9B on wireless access issues

(JRG 8A-9B) was foreseen in the programme of the Radiocommunication Study Groups by the meeting of Study Group Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen in June 2000 (see Administrative Circular

CA/82).

Date and place of the meeting

JRG 8A-9B will hold its third meeting, in conjunction with the Working Party 8A meeting, from

22 to 26 October 2001. The meeting will take place in the ITU Headquarters, Geneva. The meeting will open at 15:45. The plenary meetings of WP 8A and JRG 8A-9B will be coordinated so that they will not run concurrently.

If problems are encountered, the Union can, at the official request of the administration or company you represent, approach the competent Swiss authorities in order to facilitate delivery of the visa. Any such request must specify the name and functions of the individual(s) for whom the visa(s) is/are requested and be accompanied by a copy of the approved registration form approved for the ITU conference or meeting in question.
