The IMPACT Employee Assistance Program is a benefit designed to improve your quality of
life. Through this program you and your family can receive confidential, professional
counseling and guidance when faced with personal or work-related problems, practical helpful
information, and referral assistance or direction, when needed, 24 hours a day—every day of the

How IMPACT Works
We all can agree that it is difficult to leave family problems at home and job pressures at work.

assistance for problems that may disrupt work or family life. The program is voluntary, strictly
confidential and designed to help you help yourself.

resources
Remember, you can contact IMPACT toll-free, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Just dial 1-800227-6007. IMPACT makes every effort to provide services convenient for you and your
family—not just during "regular business hours."
Three Key Components of IMPACT
Your first step in using IMPACT is to call an IMPACT coordinator and explain your situation or
concern. IMPACT then offers help in three ways:
Referrals:
IMPACT is your guide to community resources when faced with issues of day-today life such as medical problems, legal issues, financial issues, child care and
elderly concerns. Consumer education and research on a variety of topics are
commonly used services and readily available through your Employee Assistance
Program.
Crisis Intervention:
IMPACT is your first call for immediate help when faced with a mental health
emergency situation. Trained counselors are available 24 hours a day to
professionally handle any crisis that may affect your life, or the life of a loved
one.
Counseling:
IMPACT callers present a variety of needs and concerns to our staff. Professional
counseling is available both over the telephone and through face-to-face
consultation. Up to six complimentary counseling sessions are available at no
cost to the employee. These services may be used by the employee or any
member of the employee’s household on a per-problem basis.
IMPACT’s on-line work/life program links the services of LifeCare.com with the IMPACT EAP
for seamless service delivery. It allows employees and their families to access the work/life
services over the internet. A library of thousands of articles are available, as well as e-mail
access to our staff of experts. Furthermore, employees can receive packets of information
through the mail that they can request on-line. Specific areas that are covered under the on-line
work/life services include:
⌚
Family issues concerning child and elder care, children with disabilities, non-traditional
families, parenting, summer programs, etc.
⌚
