NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT: ELPRO 615M-1
Cooper Bussmann announces an exciting new and powerful Multi-Service Provider Cellular
Broadband Modem/Router that delivers wireless data connectivity for up to two LAN connections
and one serial port through public cellular networks at 3G network speeds.
END-OF-SALE AND END-OF-LIFE ANNOUCEMENT: ELPRO 605M-D1
Cooper Bussmann announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the ELPRO 605M-D1
GSM/GPRS Modem including all related power and country variations. The 605M-D1 series
GSM/GPRS Modem will be orderable through May 31, 2013 (depending on availability of
components).
Note: The 605M-R1, router, will continue to be available for use with the 615M-1 Cellular modem.
For those ELPRO 605M-D1 series customers who need to purchase ELPRO 605M-D1 series products
after the end-of-sale date, Cooper Bussmann may offer equipment through authorized resellers subject
to available stock. Cooper Bussmann will continue to offer technical support on the 605M-D1 series
software for two years and on the hardware for two years, subject to component availability, after the
end-of-sale date, through May 2015.
Table 1 describes the key product features of the new ELPRO 615M-1.
Table 2 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the ELPRO 605M-D1.
Table 3 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement and relevant information
for migrating to the replacement product. Customers planning new deployments should order
the ELPRO 615M-1 Series. This next-generation modem/router offers higher performance and
greater flexibility, as well as a more robust set of security and networking technologies required
by many applications.
