Notification RADIO-900M Wireless IP Radio The WAVES over IP Radio (RADIO-900M) provides wireless communications via 900 MHz ISM band for mass notication. Description Ordering Information The WAVES over IP (WoIP) RADIO-900M, part of the Alerity integrated Mass Notification platform, is an Ethernet communications radio that provides wireless connections between Ethernet devices and/or Ethernet wired networks. (LANs) and complies with relevant IEEE 802.11 standards. The RADIO-900M is for communication to end nodes only (i.e. HPSA-8100-R series) and can be added to any node within the WoIP Mass Notification System for wireless communications. It is not used for trunk applications. • RADIO-900M - Wireless Ethernet 802.11, 900MHz high speed. The WoIP wireless Ethernet device uses a 900 MHz Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) wireless transceiver to avoid interference with a site’s WiFi infrastructure. It combines the benefits of reliable distance communications with data throughputs to 54 Mbps (country regulation dependant). • Safety: EN 60950 To add wireless communications, one Master Radio (IPC and RADIO-900M0 must be in the network. Each Master Radio can support up to 15 end nodes/15 radios. Filtering and security measures include MAC address and IP filtering and encryption to WPA2; 802.11i enterprise level standard. Features & Benefits Compliance • EMC: EN 301 489 - 17; FCC Part 15 • Radio: EN 300 328; FCC Part 15.247, RSS 210 • CSA: Class I, Division 2 (pending) Supporting Equipment & Accessories • IP Communicator* (IPC-8000) includes the IPC and a wallmount enclosure. The RADIO-900M will be housed in the IPC-8000 enclosure. • Uninterruptible Power Supply - UPS-901* • Antennas* - ANT-805-OM - Omni, 5dBi, N; ANT-808-OM Omni, 8dBi, N; ANT-810-YAGI - Yagi, 10dBi, N *See separate specification sheets. • W ireless Ethernet Radio provides wired to wireless bridge to the WAVES over IP Mass Notification Systems Architects and Engineers Specifications • Uses reliable 900MHz spectrum for transmission The WAVES over IP wireless Ethernet radio shall be model RADIO-900M or equivalent that provides a wired to wireless bridge to the WAVES over IP Mass Notification System.
