Upon entry into the program a student is assigned an initial degree advisor. Once familiar with the C&I faculty, the student may choose a more permanent advisor. An individualized program of study, known as a prospectus, will be created with the advisor. The prospectus lists the required courses for the specialization or concentration. In addition to require course, a student may choose to take courses from any Kent State University department at the main campus or any regional campus. Up to 12 graduate credits can be transferred from accredited colleges or universities, and if the student’s advisor(s) agrees, the credits will count toward the completion of the degree.
