Dr Stuart Sharrock has been an analyst and consultant in the telecommunications industry for over
two decades. Stuart has been the Editor of Telecommunications International, Mobile
Communications International, and Voice+ magazines and the European Correspondent for RCR
Wireless News. He contributes to a variety of trade publications in the telecommunications industry
and has undertaken research and consultancy projects for many major operators and manufacturers
as well as organisations such as the European Commission, European Telecommunications Office,
Liberty Alliance, UMTS Forum, GSM Association, ITU, WiMax Forum and ICSTIS.
Stuart is an experienced conference organiser and has designed the programmes for over 100
telecommunications conferences in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. He is
a regular speaker and chairman at international telecommunications conferences.
Dr Sharrock has worked closely with the International Telecommunication Union over the past
fifteen years. He has published the official exhibition catalogue for the World Telecom exhibitions
in Geneva as well as for many of the ITU’s regional Telecom events in Africa, Asia and Latin
America. He has been an active member of the Forum Committee of the ITU Telecom Board and is
the Chairman of the International Advisory Board of the ICIN conference.
