Maria Valdivia-Pellkofer is the Career Center’s Industry Specialist in Business and is available to assist
you in exploring and understanding opportunities in the private and public sectors, whether it be in
Accounting, Economics, Finance, International Business, Information Systems, Management, Marketing
and others.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to remove the cost barriers that may prevent you from pursuing your
educational goals. Assistance is available from a variety of programs funded by federal, state, university
and private sources. Students who demonstrate significant financial need may qualify for grant aid while
students with less need may obtain low cost loans. Financial need is determined through a federal
formula that assesses the family’s relative financial strength and ability to contribute to meeting the
student’s educational costs. Correspondence
The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov.

California State University, Fullerton is a community of people from many nations and cultures.
The Office of International Education and Exchange is dedicated to promoting the exchange and
knowledge and experience within the multicultural campus community and with the world at
large. The office provides information and assistance for international students attending CSUF
and for US students planning to study abroad.
WALK-IN ADVISING: IEE advisors are available to meet with you during walk-in hours without an
appointment, on a first-come, first-served basis. We are encouraging students to come into the
office 30 minutes before a walk-in session to sign up. Please call the IEE office before coming
to sign-up for walk-in since walk-in hours are subject to change and/or cancellation at any
time.
INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS: An individual appointment with an IEE advisor may be arranged.
Please call IEE Office at (657) 278-2787 or come in person (University Hall, Room 244) to
request an appointment. Times vary depending on Advisors' availability (all individual
appointment are 30 minutes slots).

The Center is your on-line resource to get involved in workshops and events at Cal State
Fullerton. Go to center to view a monthly schedule of workshops and activities offered. Use
the search feature to look up specific workshops or events by name or by programs (i.e.,
Student Leadership Institute, Women’s Center, Volunteer and Service Center, Academic
Integrity, etc.). Student Leadership Institute (SLI):

The SLI offers certificate tracks that consist of a series of required and elective workshops and
an Experiential Component. Most of the workshops are 90 minutes long, with a few lasting 60
or 120 minutes. Most students find that they get more out of tracks that they have a particular
interest for or that relate to their major or future career interests. Students completing a track
will be awarded a certificate and recognized at the SLI annual recognition ceremony. Many
students also choose to complete more than one track.

Student Health & Counseling Center

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) strives to help students achieve their academic,
professional, and personal goals. Counselors can help students improve coping skills,
strengthen personal relationships, navigate the college transition, recover from traumatic
experiences, and engage in self-exploration. CAPS offers brief counseling for individuals and
couples, group counseling, psychiatric services, referrals, crisis intervention, and workshops to
eligible CSUF students. CAPS counselors are also available to consult with faculty and staff
about concerns related to student mental health. In addition, CAPS offers extensive practicum
training to advanced students in doctoral and master’s programs in counseling and clinical
psychology.
SHCC is located on the main campus, off Gymnasium Drive. The SHCC is located north of the
Pollock Library, just east of the Kinesiology and Health Science (KHS) building.

The College Tutoring Center is operated by the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. Our
mission is to assist business students to become more successful at the university by offering
tutoring assistance in various business subjects in a friendly and supportive learning
