Student Leadership Institute (SLI): http://www.fullerton.edu/deanofstudents/sli/certificate_programs.htm The SLI offers certificate tracks that consist of a series of required and elective workshops and an Experiential Component. Most of the workshops are 90 minutes long, with a few lasting 60 or 120 minutes. Most students find that they get more out of tracks that they have a particular interest for or that relate to their major or future career interests. Students completing a track will be awarded a certificate and recognized at the SLI annual recognition ceremony. Many students also choose to complete more than one track. P.O. Counselors can help students improve coping skills, strengthen personal relationships, navigate the college transition, recover from traumatic experiences, and engage in self-exploration. CAPS offers brief counseling for individuals and couples, group counseling, psychiatric services, referrals, crisis intervention, and workshops to eligible CSUF students. CAPS counselors are also available to consult with faculty and staff about concerns related to student mental health. In addition, CAPS offers extensive practicum training to advanced students in doctoral and master’s programs in counseling and clinical psychology.
