Dr. Hiroshi Miyabe Vice president, Member of the Board National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) [Biography] Dr. Miyabe received his Ph. D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tohoku, Japan, in March 1980. In April 1980 he started working as a researcher for NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) where he became an Executive Director of the Cyber Communications Laboratory in July 2004. Since April 2008, he has been Vice president and Member of the Board of NICT. Dr. Miyabe was engaged in R & D and the standardization of Operating Systems (OS), real-time OS, software architecture network security and network architecture. He is a Fellow of the Information Processing Society (IPSJ ) of Japan.
