Shanzhi CHEN, male, was born in February 1969 in Zhenjiang, P. R.
China.
Dr. Chen has been CTO of Datang Telecom Technology & Industry Group
since 2008, Vice President of Datang Telecom Technology & Industry
Holdings Co. Ltd. since 2007. Dr. Chen is responsible for the corporation
development strategy, technology and product roadmap, and strategic
alliances and cooperation.
Dr. Chen has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Datang Telecom
Technology Co. Ltd., (“Datang Telecom”; SSE: 600198) since 2007, the
Director of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation
(“SMIC”; NYSE: SMI; SEHK: 981) since 2009.
Dr. Chen is member of the expert steering committee of the Information
technology of China 863 Program, the Vice-Director of
China
Communication Equipment Manufacturing Society, the Expert of
Technology Committee of China Communications Standards
Association (CCSA).
Dr. Chen received his BS from Xidian University, MS from Research
Institute of Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and PhD from
Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT).
