PATRICIA SZARVAS An experienced and highly respected financial anchor, Patricia Szarvas, has hosted a variety of shows on the CNBC Europe network for the past 10 years. She is one of the few people in that field to also have been a member of the London Stock Exchange and to have successfully passed the Securities and Futures Authority examination. Being multi lingual, she files market reports in Italian (Class CNBC, Milan) and German (Focus.com, till 2009 for N24, Berlin), as well as her regular presenting in English for both the European, Asian and US networks(CNBC-US,MSNBC). She is a member of ‘the Group of 20+1’ top Financial Journalist in Germany, responsible for judging on the ‘topic of the year’ and ‘banker of the year’ award. She regularly hosts panels for top events such as the World Economic Forum, Euro Finance Week, ITU and is CNBC main Car correspondent for Europe. Critics describe her work as utmost professional, genuinely exciting, displaying cultural sensitivity to interviewees and issues. She manages to combine know how with her personality and warmth to a variety of different shows on the channel, both hard news and more feature like magazine formats. As well as being a key anchor at CNBC Europe, Patricia carried out numerous field assignments and on sight broadcasting: covering state elections and conducting feature interviews with political and business leaders. She started her career as a stockbroker and private banker working for some of the most prominent investment banks. In 1998 she made the transition to the world of media, joining RAI (Rome, Italy). She currently lives in Frankfurt and has a 4 year old daughter.
