Mr Arduino Patacchini works with Eutelsat since 1981, where he is Director of the Multimedia Department since April 2000, with the task to develop technically and commercially new Broadband and Value Added Services and applications for Eutelsat. He is also the CEO of Skylogic, the Eutelsat broadband subsidiary based in Turin (Italy) created in 2002; which operates one of the world’s leading satellite broadband IP platforms and he is member of the Board of WINS, the newly created subsidiary (2005) in Malta to develop maritime services. Prior to this job he has been covering different responsibilities at Eutelsat, initially responsible for definition and procurement of TDMA satellite telephony system, than responsible for strategy and external relations, and from 1991 to 2000 head of the commercial planning and development division. He began his career in Italy in 1975 as a teacher, in 1977 was working on frequencies and time standards at the Italian Ministry of PTT and from 1977 to 1981 was working in Telespazio as engineer on new satellite digital telephony systems. He graduated at the Politecnico di Torino in 1974 and holds a Degree in Electronic Engineering.
