Mobile Speaker Array Notification MSA-3100 Series Description The TACWAVES Mobile High Power Speaker Array delivers highly intelligible voice and tone messages to wide-area outdoor locations. Intrusive announcements in the event of an emergency are not an option, they are a necessity. That’s why our Mobile High Power Speaker Arrays (MSA 3100 Series) are designed for wide-area mass notification, covering large areas with crisp, intelligible voice, tone and siren warnings. The MSA is a portable field notification unit for tactical operation, forward unit deployments, disaster management and temporary events. The mobile system requires minimal operator set-up and can be rapidly deployed before, during and after a disaster. The MSA can be moved with any military or civilian vehicle and airlifted. The MSA can operate autonomously or as an integral component of the WAVES (Wireless Audio Visual Emergency System) MNS or TACWAVES (Tactical WAVES) portable alerting system. In stand-alone mode, it delivers up to 128 pre-recorded messages stored in its own memory and tones generated by its digital tone generator, including the standard FEMA public warning tones with optional Local Messaging Device (LMD)hardware. With noise-canceling microphone, a local operator can deliver live voice messages. When connected to a WAVES Mass Notification System, the MSA delivers announcements originating from the WAVES Base Station via digital, Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology @ 2.4 GHz. The MSA is also capable of activating voice and tone messages stored within the MSA unit. MSA-3108 Features & Benefits MSA-3106 The MSA performs silent self-tests of its own subsystems as well as its connected loudspeakers, at regular intervals. Results are reported to the local control device (LCD) panel as well as to the base station, which triggers alerts to operators and administrators in case of failure and provides them with detailed diagnostics information. - Broadcasts highly intelligible live and recorded voice, tone and siren announcements to people over large geographic areas - Remote operation from the WAVES base station, third party control stations or locally from the MSA unit via built-in microphone and control panel - Fully addressable controller - Omnidirectional speaker coverage - Emergency operation during power outages - Allows recording, storage and playback of local messages - Meets Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) standards for Wide-Area Mass Notification Systems (MNS) - Mobile, easy to move and relocate - Rapid field setup; deployable within minutes - Weather resistant - special aluminum alloy horn construction provides long service life without material fatigue - Integrated lightning protection - Transmits voice messages with intelligibility up to 1,500 feet- more than four football fields Applications Wide Area Mass Notification Emergency Notification Tent City Operations/FOBs Outdoor Warning Giant Voice/Big Voice Community Alerting/Public Warning Natural Disaster Alerting/Relief All Hazards Warning/Tsunami Warning Industrial Disaster/Alerting/Relief Temporary Events Specifications Performance Sound Dispersion: Number of Horns: Number of Drivers: Amplifiers: Microphone: Tones/Messages: Electrical AC: Batteries: Solar Power: Generator (Diesel or Gasoline): Power Consumption (Battery Draw)Idle/Active (1KHz tone): Environmental Amplifier Thermal Protection: Operating Tempature: Physical Trailer Length: Operational Height, fully erected: Stowed Dimensions: Trailer Width: Trailer Gross Weight: Tongue Weight: Tire Size: Electronics Cabinet Dimensions: Maximum Tow Speed: Omnidirectional 6 or 8 horns 6 or 8 drivers 4 amplifier units, 200W each (up to 8 horns); total harmonic distortion is less than 0.2% over frequency range from 80Hz to 20kHz at power levels up to 225W per channel.
