It clearly and consistently presents the maximum voltage, amp and interrupting ratings on all labels across the entire supplemental fuse portfolio. Maximum voltage ratings are now clearly and easily identified by a color code band and large print on the fuse labels. Additionally, the interrupting rating is clearly printed on the side of each fuse. The Fuses Made Simple - Control Circuits program helps users to specify the correct fuse for an application. They simply select from time-delay (for inductive loads) or fast-acting (for resistive loads), then select the appropriate voltage rating and finally, verify the fuse’s interrupting rating is sufficient for the circuit. To further assist users, Bussmann makes available a two-sided Control Circuit Fuse Selection Wheel (reorder # 10226). One side contains all the time-delay fuses and the other, the fast-acting fuses. Users simply rotate the outer wheel to the correct circuit voltage and select from the listed fuse. The selection wheel has the added benefit of eliminating common causes of misapplication by clearly presenting the fuse voltage rating (which must be equal to or greater than the circuit voltage) and the interrupting rating (that must be equal to or greater than the available short-circuit current). Contact your Bussmann representative for a copy of the Control Circuit Fuse Selection Wheel. The form, fit, function, material and electrical properties of all fuses remain the same as does the ordering process. All fuses with new labels are direct replacements for their counterparts with old style labels. Any stock of control circuit fuses is still saleable product and can continue to be sold with confidence. The table in subsequent pages lists all the supplemental fuses covered by the Fuses Made Simple – Control Circuit program that will take effect by May 31, 2014. For technical information on the fuses, please refer to the data sheets listed in the table.
