Providing Trading Partners with Exceptional Marketing Support
Both Rank at Most Prestigious Level in IDEA’s Bands of Excellence Program
HIGHLAND, IL, January 7, 2013 – Cooper B-Line, a global provider of innovative, labor-saving
support systems and enclosure solutions for engineered facility subsystem applications, is
proud to announce that both its U.S. and Canadian operations have reached IDEA’s Platinum
band, the most prestigious status of IDEA’s Bands of Excellence Program. The program, which
recognizes manufacturers for providing top-notch marketing support to trading partners, is
overseen by IDEA, the official technology service provider of the electrical industry, and
supported by its owners, the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) and the
National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
As part of its ongoing efforts to populate the Industry Data Warehouse (IDW) with robust
marketing content, IDEA introduced the Bands of Excellence rating system. The system
promotes the progress of manufacturers who are providing exceptional value and marketing
support to their trading partners.

The Bands of Excellence Program measures each manufacturer’s completion percentage for
providing marketing content for active stock products to their trading partners through the IDW,
including: specification documents, attributes, images, and descriptions. Both Cooper B-Line,
Inc., (U.S.) and Cooper B-Line Canada reached the Platinum band, indicating their completion
ranked in the 75 to 100 percent range.
