Eaton 1121 Highway 74 South Peachtree City, GA 30269 Date For Release Contact March 27, 2014 Immediately Karin Martin, (630) 513-8625 Eaton’s LED Technology Provides Efficient, Uniform and Affordable Illumination for Ambient Lighting Needs PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. … Power management company Eaton today announced the introduction of the Neo-Ray Index light-emitting diode (LED) pendant luminaire from its Cooper Lighting Division. The suspended luminaire features unique, adjustable optical panels and incorporates patented WaveStream™ LED technology to efficiently improve light quality and reduce total power consumption for indoor ambient applications. An affordable, efficient alternative to linear fluorescent luminaires, the Neo-Ray Index luminaire’s adjustable optical panels with standard or custom spacing options, can place light exactly where it’s most effective for the application. The product is an ideal solution for university libraries, grocery store aisles, retail stores, classrooms and as a complete office solution. “Our new Neo-Ray Index pendant‘s unique form and function will change the way people think about lighting in ambient spaces,” said Mark Eubanks, president, Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Division. “By incorporating our WaveStream LED technology, the luminaire offers unique optical control and high lumens per watt while providing customers with an affordable solution to meet lighting power density goals without compromising on light quality.” WaveStream LED technology transforms the LED point source into a highly efficient luminous panel. A patented optical system maximizes the amount of light injected into the WaveStream panel, improving luminaire efficiency. Laser-precise AccuAim™ optics arranged in exacting – more – Eaton/Page 2 patterns provide unparalleled brightness control while delivering the maximum amount of light on task. With the Neo-Ray Index, reducing lighting power density while maintaining visual comfort is easily achieved. The product’s adjustable optical panels, available in 15 degrees, zero degrees and minus 15 degrees, allow the luminaire to be tuned precisely to the application and space, providing ultimate lighting power density control while visually enhancing any application. The efficient Neo-Ray Index pendant offers efficacy greater than 95 lumens per watt. Available in 2-, 4-, 6-, 8-, 12-foot individual lengths or continuous runs, the ultra-thin pendant is offered in 3000 Kelvin (K), 3500K and 4000K correlated color temperatures in high (4,291) and low (3,196) lumen packages. The luminaire is equipped with a zero to 10 volt standard dimming driver but is available with an integral Fifth Light Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) driver option, integral emergency battery packs and daylight and/or occupancy sensors.
