Eaton Helps Achieve Code Compliance with Safe and Compact Circuit
Protection Products Tailored for Construction Applications
ST. LOUIS … Power management company Eaton is helping enhance safety and effectively
manage energy consumption for construction applications with the introduction of its latest
circuit protection products. The portfolio of compact, end-to-end solutions from Eaton’s
Bussmann business focuses on helping achieve code compliance such as selective
coordination as well as reducing equipment footprint to drive down costs.
“Eaton’s circuit protection solutions are designed to ensure reliable power distribution and
help meet code compliance without compromising the safety of people or equipment,” said
Kristine Stoll, senior product manager, Eaton’s Bussmann division. “Our circuit protection
products for the construction segment also contribute to a reduced equipment footprint, high
short-circuit current ratings and superior current limitation that exceeds expectations in
operational safety.”
Developed by Eaton’s team of design experts and application engineers, the circuit protection
portfolio makes it easy to meet selective coordination as well as addresses the challenges of
saving space and code compliance for commercial, healthcare and industrial facilities. The
Quik-SpecTM Coordination Panelboard, for example, has a compact footprint that is up to 40
percent smaller than other fusible solutions. The panel’s finger-safe branches and fuse
ampacity rejection also improves overall user safety. Other solutions include the CUBEFuse
Safety Switch that offers visual verification of switch status and, with the use of currentlimiting CUBEFuses, helps reduce arc flash incident energy levels.
Eaton’s vast portfolio aims to meet the demands of both new construction projects and
modernizing existing infrastructures. It features fuses, panelboards, surge protection, circuit
breakers, busways, automatic transfer switches, metering, control panels, uninterruptable
power systems and medium- and low-voltage switchgear.
